Our Community Mission Statement

Hey Novas!

I’m Jason King, community manager, and I’m super excited to help build an amazing place for you to discuss all things Nova Blitz! A little about me: I’ve got a few years of community management under my belt, and TCGs have been an obsession of mine for over 18 years now, so working on Nova Blitz is a melding of my two biggest passions. I firmly believe that one of the most important things for an online game is its community, so let’s talk about how we’re going to be the best one around!

Our goal is to grow an inclusive community where everyone can contribute and genuinely have an impact on the game’s design. We want you to be able to point at a part of Nova Blitz and say, “That was my idea!” or “I helped balance that card!” To that end, the Nova Blitz community will largely be centered around our official forums. This will give our designers one place where they can read and reply to feedback so it can be refined and incorporated into the game. The forums are also where the team will post the latest news, release notes, and tournament results. In other words, it’s the number one place you’ll want to be!

To support our community goals, we’re also committing to three things:

  1. Cultivating a safe environment based on mutual respect.
  2. Being transparent and having open conversations about our design process.
  3. Improving the game based on your feedback and ideas.

Each of these three initiatives is absolutely key to having the kinds of conversations that will move Nova Blitz forward as a community-driven game. They aren’t afterthoughts or lip-service. They’re foundations that we’re building Nova Blitz on and planning to deliver just like any other game feature. We want you to be a part of our team so that – together – we can build the best damn TCG ever.

That being said, I need your help with #1. As the community manager, I will encourage the developers to read your feedback and have (literally) game-changing discussions with you, but it’s up to you to make sure those discussions are open and constructive. So I’m challenging all of you – especially if you don’t typically get involved –  to help build up this community. Because if you build it, they will come!

Now it’s your turn! Introduce yourself on our forums! Tell us what you think about Nova Blitz. We will listen, we will act, and we will make Nova Blitz a game that responds to what you want. Because at the end of the day, whether you play for the love of the game or the chance to make new friends, it’s still more fun when you’re doing it alongside people who share those same goals.

Let’s build a game and community that we can enjoy for years to come!
